In August 2005
Joshua Cole, founder of BPDWORLD, decided that the information
and support offered for those with BPD should be more widely
available to everyone with mental health issues. Although
BPDWORLD was there for everyone it was felt that people without
a BPD diagnosis were reluctant to use the support services
on offer and the information on other mental health issues,
although informative, was limited.
To overcome these issues; by the end of August, 7 new websites,
including Abuse Survivors were created, privately owned by
Joshua Cole. Each providing more in depth information on individual
disorders with room to grow as more up to date treatments
and resources become available taking this organisation closer
to its goal of being the best support network nationally and
maybe even internationally.
All of these information sites are linked
together to the massive range of online support services which
include:
Forums
– For those with mental health issues, those whom are
survivors from abuse, and a carer’s forum for those
who care for someone with a mental health condition.
Users
chat room - Where people from each of the three communities
can talk to others who have been through similar situations
to themselves.
Journals/Blogs
- Keep an online record of your day to day journey through
the healing process. Entries can be kept private or published
for others to read and respond.
Live

E-mail
